2015 Honda HR-V Crossover Give in Indonesia

PT Honda Prospect Motor will market the crossover variant of the Honda HR-V in Indonesia in early 2015 (Read: 2015 Honda SUV Vezel Glide)

According to the Director of Marketing and After Sales Service Honda Prospect, Jonfis Fandy, these cars will be made at a factory in Karawang, West Java. "We will introduce and accept orders Honda HR-V at the Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS), September 2014," he said Wednesday, July 16, 2014, as quoted by Antara.

Jonfis said Honda HR-V was first introduced at the Tokyo Motor Show (TMS), 21 November 2013 The car was then marketed in Japan on December 20, 2013 as the Honda Vezel.

In Indonesia, said Jonfis, marketed under the brand Vezel Honda HR-V because it is more easily pronounced. "HR-V is also in tune with the Honda CR-V that had already been known in Indonesia," he said.

The plan, Honda Prospect will sell two variants of the HR-V, the engine i-VTEC 1.5-liter and 1.8-liter i-VTEC. Jonfis said these two variants could provide choice to consumers in accordance with their needs. (See also: Honda Accord Hybrid Variant Launches)

Consumers who want to save on fuel consumption can select the variant 1.5 liter i-VTEC. However, for performance, HR-V 1.8-liter i-VTEC clearly superior. Both variants have been equipped with a number of safety features, such as the electric parking brake, auto brake hold, VSA (vehicle stability assist), and a double air cushion (dual SRS airbag).
